Now a word about profile photos. I get many questions from new members asking when they're photos will be approved, and why they can't communicate with other members although they have uploaded a profile photo, etc.

According to our terms, the profile photo must show your face and must be approved by the Administrator before members may communicate with others. The time it takes for the approval process varies, but it shouldn't be more than a few hours. Each photo must be manually approved. This process cannot be automated due to the fact that a computer can't look at a photo and know its contents. A human is required for that.

The photo requirement exists on this site for several reasons, here are a couple of them:

1. So that you know who you are communicating with, and have some idea what that person looks like.
2. To decrease the number of spammers and scammers who attempt to become members of this site. We want to keep them out in order to protect you, the legitimate member, and so that you don't have to deal with their spam and scams.

BamaMatch has always been a free Alabama dating site, and we want to keep it that way. We work diligently to keep spam and scam members out, and one way we do that is by requiring a profile photo for each member.
